DEBATE COMPETITION HIGHLIGHTS

We, at UCan Centre held a debate competition for our students on the very recent development on the education front in the country i.e. Cancellation of the CBSE Class XII Board Exams 2021.

Our students put up an amazing show! Enjoy the main highlights of the debate. As always, like and share so that students who are interested can also benefit in improving their life skills - from speaking skills, confidence-building to Spoken English and preparing for the future.

14TH MEGA QUIZ COMPETITION TRAILER

Every 10 weeks, we hold a Mega Quiz Competition for our students. Questions are asked from a range of topics - from General Knowledge, Current Affairs as well as Competitive Exams Questions.

Mega Quiz's at UCan are always MEGA EXCITING! With certificates, medals, prizes and the honour of lifting the running Mega Quiz Trophy, there is no knowing which team will come out on top!

SELF-MOTIVATION FOR SCHOOL STUDENTS

U CAN Centre conducted online sessions for students of class 5 - 9 for F.H.S.S., North Guwahati as part of Personality Development Sessions. The main theme of the session was to instill self-motivation in students so that they can stay focused, determined and positive during the Covid-19 pandemic. The sessions were a great success and we are proud to be associated with such a dynamic institution that is dedicated to providing quality education and support to its students.

FIRST EVER ONLINE CLASS FOR SCHOOL

The Covid-19 lockdown in the beginning of March 2020 proved to be a challenge for students and school authorities alike. Students no longer were able to study and learn in the way they were used to all their lives and the education fraternity had to 'adjust' accordingly to keep learning and fun alive whilst remaining safe! We were honoured to have conducted our TPD Programme for Faculty H. S. School FULLY ONLINE and with the support and cooperation from the school authority and teachers', the sessions were a grand success.

We wanted to share with you our FIRST EVER ONLINE CLASS in the history of our centre! Do enjoy this short little clip. Although we have come a long way since then, it is these little moments that we will remember!

"Cheer-UP" ACTIVITY during lockdown

It is important to stay positive, cheerful and active during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially when students are stuck at home attending online classes for hours on end everyday. We organised an activity whereby our students at UCan Centre showcased their talents and skills in various hobbies and activities such as music, poetry and dancing. The session was filled with fun, entertainment and activity that not only cheered us all up but also bring out the inner confidence in our students.

HIGHLIGHT OF AN ONLINE CLASS

Amidst the lockdown for Covid-19, we are hosting online sessions for our students! Although not a lot can be done in terms of face-to-face interactions, we've made the most in making best use of the resources in instilling good grammar, improving English vocabulary and expanding general knowledge & current affairs in our students. POWERPOINT PRESENTATION SKILLS

Being able to present a captivating PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) is a skill that is important for students, especially as they go into further studies. We asked our students to prepare a PPT on any topic of their choice and present it during our online session. Our students did a great job and we are proud to present you a highlight of the activity.

TEAMWORK is essential in all aspects and ages of one's life. Right from doing school projects, to sports to big corporate targets and projects, being able to work efficiently and contribute productively is a skill set that needs honing from a young age. It is this quality that we taught our students in this session. Through various tasks, games, challenges and puzzles, students were grouped into teams and had to complete activities collectively. They learnt the value of teamwork, positive thinking, smart-working and leadership during the session.

ANGER-MANAGEMENT FOR STUDENTS

Managing your anger and staying calm is one of the biggest lessons we can teach students that will benefit them throughout their lives. In this session, we taught our students the tips, techniques and exercises one can do to control anger. It was an insightful session and it greatly helped our students to release any negativity and stay positive, motivated and confident.

Effective communication is key to being able to do one's work efficiently. With good communication skills comes good management, organisational and discipline. In this session, our students were shown the difference between good and bad communication. Exercises and activities were conducted to further instill the qualities of a good communicator. It was an informative session with students taking part actively and learning on how to improve their communication skills to benefit them in the long-run.
